Individual Counselling in Carrum Downs - Melbourne
In-person and online therapy with Hope Calvert
My Mission
Life can be hard. And sometimes, no matter how much we try to push through on our own, we need a space to simply stop, breathe, and be honest about how we're really doing.
My mission is to offer you exactly that — a safe, warm, and non-judgmental space where you can explore what's been weighing on you, make sense of your experiences, and begin to move toward a life that feels more like your own.
I believe that meaningful change is possible for everyone. Not because I have all the answers, but because the right support at the right time can open doors that have felt closed for a long time.
Who I Work With
I work with adults who are navigating some of life's harder seasons — whether that's feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply sensing that something needs to change.
You might be struggling with anxiety or low mood, going through a relationship breakdown, facing a big life transition, or carrying the weight of past experiences that feel unresolved. Perhaps you're functioning on the outside but quietly exhausted on the inside.
You don't need to be in crisis to reach out. Many people come to counselling simply wanting to understand themselves better, build healthier habits, or find more ease in their daily lives. Wherever you're starting from, you're welcome here.
How Counselling Can Help
Counselling offers something increasingly rare — dedicated time and space that is entirely yours. No distractions, no judgement, no need to manage anyone else's feelings about what you share.
In our work together, you may find yourself gaining clarity on what's been holding you back, developing greater compassion toward yourself, and building practical tools to navigate life's challenges with more confidence. Many clients describe feeling a sense of relief simply from being heard and understood.
Change doesn't always happen overnight, but each session is a step toward a life that feels more aligned with who you want to be.
Why Hope Integrative Counselling?
As a Masters-Qualified Counsellor and ACA Level 2 member, I bring both clinical training and genuine personal experience to this work. My approach is integrative — meaning I draw from a range of evidence-based therapies rather than applying a one-size-fits-all method. Sessions are tailored to you: your pace, your goals, and what you need most right now.
I offer in-person sessions in Carrum Downs (welcoming clients from surrounding suburbs including Skye, Langwarrin, Cranbourne, Patterson Lakes, Frankston, Seaford) and online counselling across Australia, so support is accessible no matter where life has you.
Hope Calvert (She/Her)
I started this practice because I believe everyone deserves a space where they can be completely honest — about how they're really feeling, what they're struggling with, and what they're hoping for.
I completed my Master of Counselling at Monash University in 2022 and have since worked across private practice and community-based services, supporting individuals through a wide range of life experiences. I'm a Level 2 member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), and I bring genuine care and professional training to every session.
But I also know what it feels like to sit in the client's chair. I've experienced the uncertainty of wondering "is this working?" and the quiet but significant moments when something finally clicks. That personal experience shapes how I show up for the people I work with — not as an expert with all the answers, but as someone who walks alongside you as you find your own.
Whether this is your first time reaching out for support or you've been in counselling before, you'll find a warm, unhurried space here — one where we can slow down, look beneath the surface, and work toward the clarity and wellbeing you're looking for.
If you're curious about whether counselling might be right for you, I'd love to hear from you.
